Introducing DTI CAN tool

Node scan

The DTI CAN tool is a monitoring and configuration software developed for DTI products. The DTI diagnostic tool is required to make a connection among the DTI products.

The DTI CAN tool can be downloaded here: Download

After installing and launching the application the following screen should be displayed:

DTI CAN tool: communication ports
DTI CAN tool: communication ports

Select the proper COM port identified in the previous step and click connect. In case of a successful connection to the DTI diagnostics tool a menu should appear on the left side and click to the "Nodes" option.

Turn on the low voltage system at this point.

After a couple of seconds the available nodes should be recognized and listed at the center of the screen:

DTI CAN tool: nodes
DTI CAN tool: nodes

If zero nodes detected try the following options:

  • Check the low voltage power supply of the inverter: Check if the voltage is set to at least 12V and the device has any current consumption.
  • Check CAN bus proper connection (cabling and termination resistor)

If none of the options has success contact us at support@drivetraininnovation.com
